Job Summary
Evaluating and classifying Long Term Care insurance applications, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Underwriting Specialist will make risk decisions based on established guidelines while maintaining effective communication with field partners and clients in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze Long Term Care insurance applications and make underwriting determinations based on risk assessment
- Establish and maintain professional communication with Financial Advisors and clients regarding case inquiries and underwriting decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and process improvement initiatives as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred
- Minimum of 1.5 years of traditional underwriting experience; Long Term Care underwriting experience strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply sound judgment and interpret underwriting guidelines
- Proficiency with computer applications and relevant software for underwriting responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing work environment
