Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility Outpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD10 CM and CPT codes based on health care record documentation
• Review and collect health information data for patient care and research purposes
• Maintain confidentiality of health information

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology or Coding, or equivalent program with emphasis in coding
• Previous applicable experience is beneficial
• Coding accreditation and/or certification required within 18 months of hire
• Strong background in outpatient ancillary coding, working LCD/NCD and NCCI edits
• Ability to work as a team with minimal supervision
