WordPress Developer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced WordPress Developer for a full-time remote contract position, who will lead web projects by translating design into clean code and developing WordPress websites for clients while collaborating with a team of designers and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Translate visual layouts and user interactions into functional WordPress sites using the Roots.io Sage approach
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to understand website design and functionality early in the process
• Prioritize and execute tasks effectively while supporting teammates with a collaborative attitude

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing complex WordPress websites
• 5+ years of experience with PHP and MySQL
• 3+ years of frontend development experience, including HTML5, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with the MVC architectural pattern (e.g., Laravel, CakePHP, CodeIgniter)
• Proficient in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility best practices
