WordPress Software Engineer

Job Summary

WordPress Software Engineer, a full-time position, is responsible for supporting digital websites and applications for news operations by developing and enhancing PHP-based content management systems and creating APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with WordPress, PHP, and AWS to support digital properties
• Develop, deploy, and enhance multiple websites using a PHP-based CMS
• Create and integrate APIs for various teams and external services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web technologies
• Proficiency in WordPress, PHP, and AWS services
• Experience building plugins, themes, and custom fields in WordPress
• Extensive experience with code versioning tools like GitHub
