WordPress Web Developer
Job Summary
Supporting the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, the contract WordPress Web Developer will design, develop, and maintain an accessible, mobile-responsive website for the Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention, collaborating with UX/UI teams and stakeholders to enhance public health resources.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop a user-friendly website that adheres to WCAG AA standards
- Lead the migration, configuration, and customization of WordPress themes and plugins
- Contribute to all project phases, ensuring ongoing maintenance and performance optimization
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in web development or related roles
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Hands-on experience with WordPress core, themes, plugins, and Elementor
- Understanding of WCAG AA accessibility standards and responsive design principles
- Experience with website configuration, content migration, and performance optimization
