Job Summary
The Training Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing and creating training modules and programs for Upwork. Programs materials may include full program curriculum, courses/lessons, modules, workbooks, trainer notes, exercises, assessments, and evaluations.
You will:
- Analyze and identify learning objectives, materials and assessment criteria that will meet the training needs of the various teams to develop agent knowledge and skills
- Develop Upwork Core and Product training program
- Formulate teaching outlines and determine instructional methods
- Select and develop teaching aids
- Confer with management, supervisors and reps to gain knowledge of issues and processes requiring training
- Support revisions/updates/reformatting of the training curricula, ensuring that all training materials are accurate, instructional sound and up-to-date
- Develop a testing process and test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. or B.A or equivalent experience required
- 4-6 years of experience in instructional design and development
- Experienced in producing for a fully virtual audience
- Experience in Adult Learning Theory, Microlearning, and Experiential Learning a plus
- Excellent open and proactive written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment
