Job Summary
A staffing and solutions provider is in need of a Virtual VMware Engineer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Being a SME in the core VMware product suite
- Identifying and executing on opportunities for automation and efficiencies in operational activity
- Helping develop the product release process to ensure the smoothest transition from environment engineering team to the application platform and deployment teams
Qualifications for this position include:
- 7+ years experience in interfacing technologies such as networking, storage, virtualization, applications and data centre technologies
- 5+ years experience of hardware and server operating systems with a focus on ESX
- 3+ years experience supporting the VMware product set e.g. vSphere, vCAC, vCM, vCO and vCOPs, VCP or equivalent industry certifications and/or knowledge
- 3+ years of Linux experience
- Skilled in .Net, client/server application development, J2EE, Java, Java Script, Object Oriented Programming, and Visual Basic
- Scripting experience with Bash and Perl
- Experience of data analysis and the use of asset inventory management systems across a large and complex server estate (100's)
Location: The location of this position is listed as Greenwood Village, Colorado; however, the job description states that remote/telecommute is also an option for this role.
