Job Summary

A healthcare company has a current position open for a Work from Home Certified Medical Coder in the Phoenix Area.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Serving as an investigative/audit team member for a health plan(s)
• Auditing records for all lines of business to ensure coding and documentation meet regulatory standards
• Coordinating audit documentation and reports for review for internal staff and stakeholders

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel 10-25% to providers offices when needed
• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Auditing experience in a healthcare environment
• Coding Certification is highly preferred; if no Coding Certification then 5+ years of heavy coding experience needed
• Strong knowledge of standard industry coding guides such as CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9, CMS 1500 and UB04 data elements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and interpret data
