Job Summary
A business solutions provider needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Senior Database Administrator.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Creating, deploying, testing and maintaining backup and recovery plans
- Recommending enhancements to currently configured environments
- Contributing to the design and creation of automation for appropriate operational database tasks
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to travel 20% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science
- Minimum 5-7 years supporting information systems and infrastructure environments
- Knowledge of structured query language (SQL), e.g. SQL/PSM or Transact-SQL
- Knowledge and understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database
