Workday Financial Systems Director

Job Summary

Taking ownership of the Workday Financials platform, the full-time remote Workday Financial Systems Director will lead platform governance, manage a team of finance systems analysts, and ensure operational excellence while adapting to a rapidly growing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the health, stability, and roadmap execution of the Workday Financials environment, ensuring compliance with financial controls and governance
• Lead the release cycle for finance modules, including impact assessment, testing, deployment, and adoption
• Hire and develop a team of Workday finance systems analysts while building relationships with finance and procurement stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in finance systems or ERP leadership, with expertise in Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning
• Strong understanding of finance fundamentals, including the accounting cycle, procure-to-pay processes, and financial reporting
• Experience in a product-based delivery model, with a proven ability to execute against a defined roadmap
• A builder's mindset, demonstrating success in creating structure and governance in finance systems
• Comfortable assessing configuration quality and presenting to executives as a player-coach
