Workers Comp Claims Specialist II

Job Summary

To support the Workers Comp Claims team, the full-time Remote Workers Comp Claims Specialist II will manage coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and disposition of assigned claims, with a preference for candidates having prior PA or NJ claims experience.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage the case resolution process and participate in mediations within the limit of settlement authority
• Investigate claims through various means and communicate claim status with injured workers, clients, and brokers
• Effectively evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims within delegated authority while managing the litigation process and vendor expenses

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of Workers Compensation claims handling experience
• At least 2 years of experience in Workers Compensation lost time claims handling
• Strong preference for candidates with PA and NJ claims experience
• Intermediate knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
• Experience with reserving and adjudication of Workers' compensation lost time claims
