Workers Comp Underwriting Supervisor
Job Summary
Managing a geographic underwriting operation, the full-time Workers Comp Underwriting Supervisor will supervise underwriting staff, drive profitable growth, and strengthen agency relationships while working in a hybrid environment based in West Bend or Madison.
Key responsibilities
- Accountable for the management of underwriting staff, including Supervisors, Underwriters, and Assistant Underwriters
- Foster agency relationships in the assigned territory through in-person travel
- Oversee the acceptance, declination, and pricing of risks while mentoring Underwriters on complex decisions
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, including 3 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
- CPCU designation is preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
