Job Summary
To support a specialty insurance carrier, the contract Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster - CT, MA, ME will adjudicate complex indemnity workers' compensation claims remotely, ensuring optimal financial outcomes while reporting on claims trends and managing litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims under limited technical direction
- Investigate claims thoroughly, including interviewing involved parties and analyzing relevant documentation
- Negotiate settlements and manage claims in litigation to achieve timely resolutions
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in the Maine jurisdiction
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- CT, ME, or MA license required at the start of the assignment
- Strong claim negotiation skills and excellent business acumen
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite and other business-related software
