Job Summary
Managing Workers' Compensation Lost Time and Medical Only claims remotely, the full-time salaried Lost Time Claims Specialist will investigate, evaluate, and determine compensability for work-related injury and disease claims while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and establish action plans for managing medical and indemnity benefits associated with injury claims
- Decide claim outcomes using established policies, procedures, and guidelines, while gathering necessary facts through interviews
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, and medical professionals to manage claims costs and facilitate safe return-to-work processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Three years of experience in the field of workers' compensation insurance required
- One valid workers' compensation adjuster license is strongly preferred
- Experience in workers' compensation claims practices, laws, and court procedures
- Ability to manage claims through the litigation process
