Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Job Summary

Seeking a temporary Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster, this full-time remote position will adjudicate indemnity claims of higher technical complexity, ensuring compliance and effective resolution while managing claims in litigation and reporting on trends.

Key responsibilities

• Adjudicate complex workers' compensation claims with a direct impact on departmental results
• Investigate claims thoroughly, including interviewing involved parties and analyzing relevant documentation
• Prepare reports and negotiate settlements, ensuring timely resolution and proper claim reserves

Required qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in AL, NC, or SC jurisdictions
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience with insurance designations
• Licensure required in at least two of the following states: AL, NC, or SC
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance profitability
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and effective time management skills
