Job Summary
To enhance the claims experience for small businesses, the full-time Complex Claims Adjuster will manage catastrophic and large loss workers' compensation claims remotely, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements while collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve favorable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Independently handle all aspects of catastrophic and large loss claims, from set-up to closure, while ensuring timely and accurate compensability decisions
- Serve as a point of contact for partner agents and customers, providing claim guidance and status updates to enhance customer service
- Direct a proactive litigation strategy to increase settlement opportunities and assess claims for settlement value using various financial projections
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of workers' compensation claim adjusting experience, with at least 2 years handling catastrophic claims
- Active licensing in applicable states is required
- Advanced knowledge of jurisdictional regulatory requirements and CMS/MSA requirements
- Strong claims handling experience within the Southeast region, particularly in Florida and Georgia, is preferred
