Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Manages a caseload of 150 or fewer workers' compensation files, including complex claims
• Determines compensability of claims and administers benefits in accordance with state law and company guidelines
• Communicates with claimants, providers, and vendors regarding claims issues and maintains accurate documentation

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
• Ability to independently manage fairly complex claims
• Proficient in Word and Excel (preferred)
