Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner III.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 150 or fewer workers' compensation files, including complex claims
• Determine compensability of claims and administer benefits according to state law and company guidelines
• Communicate with claimants, providers, and vendors regarding claims issues and settle claims as authorized

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• WC Adjuster's license for MI & MN preferred; licenses for TX, FL & Indiana considered
• Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
• Ability to independently manage very complex claims
