Job Summary
A company is looking for a Claims Examiner - Workers Comp.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and process complex workers compensation claims to determine benefits due and manage claims towards timely resolution
- Monitor reserve adequacy and ensure accuracy in benefits due and payment calculations
- Prepare necessary state filings and coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation or litigation management
Required Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Four (4) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Licenses as required and professional certification as applicable to line-of-business preferred
- In-depth knowledge of insurance principles, laws, and cost containment principles
- PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
