Job Summary
Managing a caseload of up to 150 workers' compensation claims, the temporary Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II will determine claim compensability, administer benefits, and communicate with clients and claimants while working fully remote.
Key responsibilities:
- Initiate and investigate claims promptly, determining compensability and administering benefits per state law
- Manage medical treatment and billing, authorizing as appropriate, and maintain a diary system for case reviews
- Communicate effectively with claimants, providers, and clients to resolve claims efficiently and address any injury trends
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Three or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Ability to independently manage fairly complex claims
