Workers Compensation Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing and processing workers compensation claims remotely, the full-time Workers Compensation Claims Examiner will adjudicate complex claims, negotiate settlements, and communicate with clients and claimants across MD, VA, DC, and WV jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims to ensure timely resolutions through investigation and information gathering
• Negotiating settlements of claims within designated authority
• Communicating claim activity and processing updates with claimants and clients

Required qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred
• Knowledge of MD, VA, DC, and WV jurisdictions
