Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner

Job Summary

Managing an assigned medical-only caseload, the full-time Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner will handle claims from inception to conclusion, ensuring compliance with state laws and company guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively manages medical-only workers' compensation claims and conducts timely 3-point contacts
• Determines compensability of claims, administers benefits, and manages medical treatment and billing
• Communicates with claimants, providers, and vendors to resolve claims issues and maintains accurate case documentation

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• One year or more of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical understanding of statutory regulations and medical terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders in a business environment
