Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II

Job Summary

Managing a caseload of up to 150 workers' compensation claims, the full-time Workers Compensation Claims Examiner II will handle claims from inception to conclusion, ensuring compliance with state laws and company guidelines, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Initiates and investigates claims, determining compensability and administering benefits
• Manages medical treatment and billing, authorizing as appropriate and maintaining accurate case documentation
• Communicates effectively with claimants, providers, and clients to resolve claims efficiently

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Three or more years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Technical knowledge of statutory regulations and medical terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Ability to independently manage complex claims effectively
