Job Summary
Detail-oriented and proactive professionals will find a full-time remote opportunity as a Workers Compensation Claims Representative, responsible for gathering insurance information, submitting claims, and managing communications with various stakeholders to ensure timely payments for work-related injury claims.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts and ensure timely follow-up with employers, insurance carriers, and patients
- Submit hospital and physician bills to insurance companies, review payments and denials, and write appeals as necessary
- Provide strong customer service by addressing client inquiries and coordinating with client personnel to meet reimbursement guidelines
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
- 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, claims adjudication, or insurance
- Strong customer service background with a positive and encouraging attitude
- Proficient in data entry, word processing, and MS Office applications
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
