Job Summary
Seeking a full-time temporary Workers' Compensation Claims Intake/First Notice of Loss Specialist, this role will manage the intake and assignment of new claims, providing clerical support to claims adjusters while working remotely or in-office at select locations.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to facilitate timely and accurate intake and assignment of commercial claims
- Update claims in the database and communicate with brokers as necessary
- Screen incoming calls and prepare written correspondence related to claims
Required qualifications:
- One year of insurance experience, with general knowledge of commercial workers' compensation insurance
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of relevant work experience, or vocational/technical education with one year of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone and fluently read and write in English
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and eagerness to learn the claims function
