Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving accounts related to work-related injuries by obtaining necessary information and submitting claims
• Maintain communication with insurance carriers, employers, and patients throughout the claims process
• Review payments and denials, and prepare appeals as needed to ensure appropriate payment is received

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
• 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, claims adjudication, or workers' compensation
• Proficient in data entry and MS Office applications
• Strong customer service background with a positive attitude
• Ability to manage a large workload and adapt to changing priorities
