Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts and ensure timely claim submission and follow-up
• Contact relevant parties to gather injury and insurance information, and provide support to patients regarding the claims process
• Submit appeals for denied claims and provide updates to the account management system

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
• 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, coding, or claims adjudication
• Strong customer service background and a positive, encouraging attitude
• Proficiency in data entry, MS Office applications, and web-based applications
• Ability to manage a large workload efficiently and adapt to changing situations
