Job Summary
Managing indemnity claims, the full-time salaried Lost Time Claims Specialist, Workers' Compensation will evaluate, investigate, and determine compensability for work-related injury claims while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and establish action plans for managing medical and indemnity benefits associated with injury claims
- Decide claim outcomes by applying established policies, procedures, and regulations
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, and medical professionals to facilitate timely return-to-work strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Three years of experience in workers' compensation insurance is required
- One valid workers' compensation adjuster license is strongly preferred
- Experience in managing claims through the litigation process
- Knowledge of workers' compensation claims practices, laws, and state statutes
