Job Summary
To support a growing team, the full-time remote Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist will manage claims in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma, focusing on investigating, evaluating, and resolving lost time claims while maintaining accurate records and mediating between insured parties and insurance companies.
Key responsibilities
- Receives and transmits workers' compensation information accurately and in a timely manner
- Investigates and resolves lost time Workers' Compensation claims, including litigated cases
- Maintains accurate claim information in the system and generates payments for indemnity and medical claims
Required qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred with technical designations like AIC and CPCU encouraged
- 3-5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation claims handling, specifically in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma
- Active Workers Compensation License in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and/or Oklahoma, or the ability to obtain one within three months
- Proficient knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures
- Strong grasp of claims principles and compliance requirements, with the ability to adapt to various software programs
