Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Specialists will find a full-time remote opportunity focused on managing claims in Maine, Connecticut, and New Jersey, including investigating, evaluating, and resolving lost time claims while maintaining accurate records and mediating between parties.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive and transmit workers' compensation information accurately and timely from various stakeholders
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve lost time Workers' Compensation claims, including litigated cases
• Maintain accurate information in the claims processing system and generate payments as necessary

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred, with technical designations such as AIC and CPCU encouraged
• 3-5 years of experience in Workers' Compensation claims handling, specifically in Maine, Connecticut, and New Jersey
• Active Workers' Compensation License in Maine, Connecticut, and/or New Jersey or the ability to obtain one within three months of hire
• Proficient knowledge of Workers' Compensation insurance coverage and claims processing procedures
• Strong grasp of claims principles, practices, and compliance requirements, with the ability to adapt to various software programs
