Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and proactive, the full-time remote Workers Compensation Claims Specialist will manage a portfolio of claims by gathering necessary information, submitting claims to insurance carriers, and communicating with various stakeholders to ensure timely payments for work-related injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts and ensure timely submission of claims and documentation
• Contact employers, insurance carriers, and patients to gather injury and insurance information while providing support throughout the claims process
• Review payments and denials, writing and submitting appeals as necessary to facilitate appropriate reimbursement

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
• 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, claims adjudication, or workers' compensation
• Strong customer service background with professional communication skills
• Proficient in data entry and MS Office applications
• Ability to manage a large workload efficiently and adapt to changing priorities
