Workers Compensation Claims Trainee

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Workers Compensation Claims Trainee will engage in a 6-month paid, fully remote program focused on gaining hands-on experience in claims management, shadowing experts, and developing skills in analyzing claims while progressively taking on a portfolio of indemnity claims.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in structured learning through instructor-led sessions, online modules, and mentorship focused on claims operations and state-specific regulations
• Shadow experienced claims professionals to learn best practices in managing workers' compensation claims
• Gradually take ownership of new claims, applying training to real-world scenarios under supervision while engaging in stakeholder communication

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year degree from an accredited institution preferred
• 3.5 or higher GPA preferred, with consideration for relevant experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 products, including Outlook, Word, and basic Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated adaptability to changes in procedures and technology
• Active listening skills and a problem-solving mindset
