Job Summary
Managing the administration of employee incident claims, the full-time Workers Compensation Specialist will coordinate with insurance carriers and vendors, support loss control and safety training, and ensure compliance across multiple states in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate workers' compensation claim activities and develop strategies to optimize claim management procedures
- Review and manage incident reports from initial report through closure, determining the need to report claims to carriers
- Coordinate return-to-work programs and provide direction to third parties for resolving claims quickly and cost-effectively
Required qualifications
- College degree preferred or over two years of claims experience
- Minimum of two years of experience as a claims analyst, administrator, or in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to lead a multi-state program involving off-site employees
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS)
- Customer service experience and a history of implementing programs to positively impact claim costs are a plus
