Workers' Compensation Underwriter
Job Summary
To support the New Business Underwriting Team, the full-time Workers' Compensation Underwriter will evaluate and underwrite new business submissions, assess risk factors, and deliver exceptional customer service while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Underwrite new business submissions by reviewing and evaluating them according to carrier guidelines and service standards
- Analyze risk characteristics and apply underwriting judgment to support profitable business decisions
- Provide timely and professional responses to agent inquiries, building positive relationships with agency partners
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of recent experience in Workers' Compensation customer service or underwriting support
- Solid understanding of Workers' Compensation concepts, including class codes and basic underwriting principles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and assess risk factors effectively
- Self-motivated and disciplined in a remote work environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
