Job Summary

Leading a team of underwriters, the remote Workers Compensation Underwriting Manager will guide strategic decision-making to enhance portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with company guidelines while developing talent and driving profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Translate underwriting appetite and strategic direction into actionable guidance for the team
• Oversee daily underwriting operations, managing risk selection, pricing, and reinsurance decisions
• Develop underwriting judgment within the team, creating tailored development plans for individual growth

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• CPCU or AU designation preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• 6+ years of underwriting experience, with property and casualty experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team
