Job Summary
A company is looking for a Writing Advisor to support medical school applicants in the application process.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a physician advisor to assist applicants in drafting and revising application materials
- Edit and proofread documents for clarity, tone, and grammar, ensuring a cohesive flow
- Provide constructive feedback and maintain a supportive environment for applicants
Required Qualifications
- BA and MA in humanities or a writing-heavy major (professional experience may substitute for MA)
- 2+ years of experience in education, including roles such as teaching assistant or ELA curriculum development
- 2+ years in a writing-heavy role, including editing, grant writing, or content writing
- Demonstrated characteristics such as compassion, curiosity, and a passion for writing
- Ability to be flexible, seek professional development, and work collaboratively in a team environment
