Writing Lab Tutor

Job Summary

Supporting the academic success of students, the part-time Writing Lab Tutor will provide constructive feedback on writing submissions, conduct 1:1 synchronous consultations, and collaborate with the Writing Lab team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and respond to student paper submissions, providing actionable feedback on various writing aspects
• Guide students in developing stronger academic writing skills while maintaining a supportive tone
• Collaborate with the Writing Lab Manager and team members to ensure quality standards and participate in ongoing training

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in English, Composition, Education, or a related field
• Demonstrated proficiency in academic writing and APA formatting (7th edition)
• Experience conducting 1:1 synchronous writing consultations using video conferencing platforms
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proficiency in working within a fully remote environment
