Wyoming Licensed ASL Interpreter

Job Summary

To support a high school student in a Wyoming school district during the 2026-2027 school year, the fully remote Educational ASL Interpreter will provide real-time virtual interpretation services, ensuring access to instruction and participation in school activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate sign language interpretation for classroom instruction and school-related activities
• Facilitate communication between the student, educators, staff, and peers while maintaining interpreter neutrality
• Attend virtual team meetings or IEP meetings as needed to support student access and participation

Required qualifications

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Experience providing interpreting services in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Hold a Wyoming Educational Sign Language Interpreter Permit or be eligible to obtain one prior to employment
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with reliable high-speed internet
• Meet one of the credential requirements such as RID Certification or EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
