Job Summary
Assisting in the collection, review, and management of political violence and protest data, the part-time Yemen Research Consultant will work remotely for 35 to 40 hours per week, focusing on coding events and ensuring data quality.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and code incidents of political violence from various sources into an Excel template
- Review and manage data to ensure quality, consistency, and reliability
- Participate in extensive training and complete exercises to meet performance standards
Required qualifications
- University degree in international relations, political science, conflict studies, or a related field
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Familiarity with Excel
- Experience conducting desk-based research
- Research focus or professional experience in conflict research or peace-building in the Middle East is a strong advantage
