Young Adult Cover Designer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Designer for the Young Adult Covers Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Art Director, Publishers, and Editors to develop covers and support publishing programs
• Create high-quality designs and sales materials for assigned titles from concept to print-ready PDFs
• Research and art direct illustrators and photographers, while preparing mechanicals for production

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in a publishing or editorial design role
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite's InDesign and Photoshop; basic understanding of Illustrator and Acrobat
• Portfolio showcasing inventive book cover design and typography
• Experience with pre-press and printing processes
• Deep interest in Young Adult books
