Job Summary

To support the YouTube channels fern and Simplicissimus, a freelance YouTube Thumbnail Designer will create engaging and on-brand visuals that attract millions of viewers while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design high-performing thumbnails for YouTube documentaries and video essays
• Develop creative visual concepts that align with the channel's identity
• Manage feedback cycles efficiently and deliver designs on tight deadlines

Required qualifications

• Proven experience designing YouTube thumbnails or visual assets for digital media
• Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficiency in Blender or Cinema 4D for 3D work
• Excellent sense of visual storytelling, composition, color, and typography
• Business-level English and ideally basic knowledge of German
