YouTube Thumbnail Designer

Job Summary

To enhance video engagement, the part-time contract-to-hire YouTube Thumbnail Optimization Designer will identify legacy videos for re-optimization using analytics, redesign thumbnails to improve click-through rates, and collaborate with the YouTube Optimization & Publishing Manager in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Identify legacy videos for repackaging based on YouTube Analytics and competitive research
• Design high-quality, brand-compliant thumbnails that are compelling and optimized for click-through rates
• Track and analyze the performance of redesigned thumbnails to inform future design decisions

Required qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in graphic design or art direction, preferably for social media or video platforms
• Proficiency in Photoshop or equivalent design software for producing finished thumbnails
• Hands-on experience with AI image-generation tools in a production workflow
• Familiarity with YouTube Analytics or similar video-performance metrics
• Experience in making data-driven design decisions and conducting research on competitor channels
