z/VM Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a z/VM Administrator for a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor system health by reviewing logs, monitoring alerts, and ensuring servers and critical services are running smoothly
• Perform operational support for the z/VM environment, including managing work tickets and performing upgrades
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises to ensure system resilience

Required Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, requiring thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 4 years of IT experience, including varied programming experience
• Proficiency in z/VM, RACF, Operations Manager, IBM Backup and Restore Manager, and IBM Tape Manager
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or other job-related field, or 4 years of job-related work experience
