Zambia Licensed Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Legal Department to support the company's exploration programs and mining operations
• Create legal processes and policies, and oversee contract management and compliance
• Provide legal advice on transactions and represent the company in negotiations across various jurisdictions

Required Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in a legal role within corporate organizations or private practice
• Experience providing legal services to top corporations in Zambia
• Leadership experience managing teams of attorneys and staff
• Degree in law from a recognized university; a Master's degree is an advantage
• Member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) with a valid practicing certificate
