Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Zero Trust Cyber Security Engineer will assess, implement, and maintain the Veterans Administration's Zero Trust architecture, ensuring the security of digital assets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the Zero Trust framework.
Key responsibilities
- Assess infrastructure compliance with the Department of Defense Zero Trust Maturity Model and produce Monthly Maturity Scorecard reports
- Create and update dashboards for compliance reporting and recommend improvements for Zero Trust Pillars
- Collaborate with the ZTA Pillar Leads to develop Engineering and Implementation plans for Zero Trust Use Cases across VA information systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience or 18+ years of established industry experience
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Zero Trust architectures
- In-depth knowledge of Zero Trust principles, IAM, micro-segmentation, and network security
- Experience in dashboard creation and familiarity with relevant industry regulations such as NIST 800-207
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
