zOS Connect Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the zOS Connect SME Pod Lead will solve complex technical problems, support modernization across mainframe platforms, and manage secure API integration between core mainframe applications and modern systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, customize, upgrade, and maintain IBM z/OS Connect environments
- Perform end-to-end administration of z/OS Connect, including API/service deployment and security configuration
- Collaborate with application teams to expose existing mainframe transactions and data as secure APIs
Required Qualifications
- 14+ years of experience with IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition
- Proven expertise in installation, customization, and support of z/OS Connect environments
- Deep understanding of REST API enablement and integration with CICS, IMS, Db2, and MQ
- Strong z/OS System Programming/Administration experience, including RACF and TCP/IP
- Hands-on experience with security management, including TLS/SSL and certificate management
