Telecommuting Associate Editor Jobs

Sort by: Date | Relevance
Are you an associate editor looking for an online position? Maybe you’re new to the editor career path, but you need the flexibility of a remote job. Whatever your career goals are, Virtual Vocations can help.

As an associate editor, you’re in charge of scouring company documents for grammar, content, and factual errors. In some cases, you may work as an associate editor on a publication, such as a newspaper or magazine, but those roles are generally referred to as assistant editors. This job title most commonly covers entry-level copy editors, but that does not limit the types of written material you work with. Editing is a great field for remote work because even in an in-house position, most of your work is done online. While this is often an entry-level position, you still need some writing experience and a portfolio to demonstrate your skills. However, be sure to read the job description, as sometimes “associate editor” is a position that can be entry, mid, and senior level within a company, while other times “associate” denotes the rank.

To succeed as an online associate editor, you need an eye for detail and excellent grammar skills. Current job titles include Telecommute Associate Editor, Remote Associate Editor, and Remote Legal Senior Associate Editor.
