2D Animation Director

Job Summary

Leading a talented animation team, the full-time 2D Animation Director will define and elevate the animation style and performance quality, ensuring strong storytelling and visual consistency across productions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the overall animation style, providing creative direction on performance and evaluating storyboards for animation needs
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of animators while collaborating with various departments to ensure stylistic cohesion
• Conduct animation reviews and ensure all work adheres to established quality standards and visual language

Required qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an Animation Director or Supervisor in 2D productions
• Strong portfolio showcasing hand-drawn 2D animation
• Deep understanding of human anatomy and experience with both anime and Western animation styles
• Proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony
• Excellent communication skills
