401(k) Plan Deconversion Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the technical and operational execution of retirement plan exits, the full-time remote 401(k) Plan Deconversion Specialist will manage outgoing transfers, plan terminations, and related asset and record movement activities while ensuring compliance and clear communication among stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete assigned conversion-out activities, maintaining accurate records and timely case completion
• Review plan documents and participant records to confirm exit requirements and manage discrepancies
• Prepare and validate outgoing participant records and plan data required by successor providers

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in 401(k) administration, retirement plan deconversions, or related financial services
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience accepted
• Working knowledge of 401(k) administration and outgoing plan transfers
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Relius, Excel, and other relevant tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate technical requirements effectively
