5-Axis CNC Milling Estimator
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time 5-Axis CNC Milling Estimator will evaluate manufacturability of CNC machining orders, perform DFM checks using Fusion 360 CAM, and communicate with customers about necessary adjustments to ensure production alignment.
Key responsibilities
- Review incoming CNC machining orders for manufacturability and feasibility
- Perform detailed DFM checks and optimize customer files to meet production standards
- Collaborate with Support, Programming, and Production teams to align customer objectives with operational goals
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of direct experience programming 5-axis CNC mills using Fusion 360 CAM
- Strong understanding of machining strategies, toolpath optimization, and workholding methods
- Ability to evaluate part geometry and identify manufacturability risks
- Experience working cross-functionally with programming and production teams
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort working within digital production systems
